Hi Kristina, can you give our readers a little tattoo history about yourself and your background?

I was born in Russia. I was drawing all my life , in 2016 I tried tattooing, I found it very difficult, different from drawing and very challenging. I was practicing on my dad and friends as much as I could. And at the beginning of 2018 I started working full time in the tattoo shop in Virginia USA. Since 2019 I now live in Australia

As a kid, what type of stuff did you draw and what art were you inspired by?

I always liked to draw people, started like most girls from drawing princesses in long dresses, and all the way to family portraits by the age of 19. That was my first job . and first money was commissioned portraits. My favourite artist is Ivan Aivazovsky. He one of the greatest masters of

marine art. I can’t understand the way he is thinking when he is painting. That’s why I’m not trying to analyze it , I’m just admiring.

What was the first tattoo you ever inked and how much do you feel you have either improved over the years?

Realism was always my orienteer . I was always looking at hyper realism tattoo artists as a goal where to grow . I tried different styles working in the shop , but realism is my favorite. For example line work makes me work harder, concentrate a lot more. But doing realism I feel like fish in the water, I don’t feel time at all. Luckily people love it too, it’s very popular in Australia.

Was there a particular style you picked up straight away or did you experiment a lot to find your niche. Also how do you describe your style and where do you feel it fits in industry?

I grew a lot as an artist in Australia. Very good artists are here. if you could only see my first tattoo from 2016 , it was horrible! Luckily the guy I was tattooing didn’t care at all , he even seemed liking it (haha). Over these years I started feeling the skin I’m working on ,understand different types of the skin , learned how it responds, how it heals. There is still a lot where to grow for me! Regarding designing I’m always trying to hear my client but helping to develop their ideas. I like beautiful and noble things: mythology, religion, animals .
